Screensaver

As of 0.56, there is now a global screensaver mode. When the display has not been updated after the configurable amount of seconds, it will blank and will remain so until there is a call to update the display (such as by changing menus). This is to help preserve the lifetime of the OLED display.

The default is 300 seconds (5 minutes) but you can adjust this to whatever you like. It cannot be fully turned off at this time, but you can set it to a very large value. Since that would be tedious to do via the UI, you can edit the config.txt file directly on the SD card to change the value if you prefer. The maximum value is 65535 seconds (about 18 hours).

While the changes are reflected automatically, they are not persisted. If you want to keep your changes, be sure to issue a save from the Config menu.
